Cannot connect to internet

I typed in the commands for the TCP/IP as you requested. Did not receive any messages. Restarted machine. Then executed the Ping commands. No number was shown after the Ping command. Pinged google.com. Message said "Could not find host" Pinged 209.183.226.152, got message "Destination host unreachable".
