Also you need to be aware that the Thinkpads have a BIOS that has a list of acceptable devices. I know that some disks won't work if they are not on the list and I myself have had to get a special BIOS that does not block my Broadcom 4222 Wireless card. The strange thing is that the Ethernet card on the motherboard is a Broadcom.
