Think of the Belkin "box" as containing a router, a 4 port ethernet switch and a wireless access point (WAP). The Access Point mode in effect turns off the router part and turns the ethernet switch into a 5 port one. Simply connect your primary router to the Belkin's WAN port and you can connect devices to its LAN ports and wireless and it will be the same as if they are connected directly to the primary router.
