Mom's computer won't connect to the Internet

I dug around on the answers.microsoft.com forum and someone who had encountered a similar problem managed to solve it by deleting all the drivers, restarting, and installing them again. Should I try that? If so, how does one go about uninstalling drivers? I will need help with that :) Furthermore, I think I can find the driver for the wired network card but I have been unsuccessful in finding the wireless one....
