ARRIS TG Number is: TG862G/NA - 8 790681
File System is described in Disk Management as follows:
Volume Layout Type File System Status Capacity Free Space
Partition Basic FAT Healthy (EISA Configuration) 31 MB 24 MB
Partition Basic FAT32 Healthy (Unknown Partition) 4.36 GB 346 MB
C: Partition Basic NTFS Healthy (System) 70.10 GB 35.08 GB

CHKDSK /f ran to completion.
I could not tell if it found any errors because the system rebooted before I could read everything on the screen.

After rebooting I opened Internet Explorer with the same result as reported earlier:
"Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close."

This was shortly followed by the message:
"Generic Host Process for Win32 has encountered a problem and needs to close."
