Anyways, my laptop is around 3 years old and up to this point I've never had problems connecting to wireless networks. Recently I've been having a lot of trouble connecting to my home wireless network, which had worked fine for around 4 months. Initially my computer would not connect or the wireless would cut out and I'd have to restart the router and it would work fine. Now I normally can't connect to the router at all and when I do it typically stays connected for 10-15 minutes, sometimes up to an hour and cuts back out. I find this strange because my phone connects just fine as well as all my housemate's computers.
Additionally, upon start-up from sleep or hibernation, while my laptop used to be automatically connected to wifi networks by the time the computer completely started up (like when I'm on my school's campus), now I have to always connect to a wifi network manually which typically takes at least 30 seconds (but I've still been able to connect on all networks other than my home network, I'm currently going off my phone hotspot).
I've tried updating, uninstalling, and reinstalling the wireless driver as well as removing and adding the wireless network. I've run a full microsoft security essentials scan in case the problem is virus related but that returned nothing. I don't understand how the problem is isolated to my home network when the same network works for all other devices in the house, especially considering I can access all other wireless networks I've tried to connect to.
Any insight or help would be very appreciated as it's incredibly inconvenient to not be able to access the internet through my home router.
Thanks.
