If you want my opinion, a wireless AC router would be the BEST option if using a single router. Place it in a mid point of the entire home. AC is new tech but is supposed to give about 40% better coverage than N. Of course you would need to make sure all PC's have a AC equipped adapter in them to support the BEST reception.
