Next time it happens can you connect the computer directly to the modem and make sure to power cycle the modem and computer. Then run a speed test http://www.speedtest.net/
Also do you have any programs setup on the computer to run during this time frame? Windows update, virus scanner, backup software etc...
Another thing to check is your modem's signal strength. Should be able to access this by typing 192.168.100.1 in the url of any browser. Use the link below to compare your signal strength. (FYI your modem is DOCSIS 3.0)
