Before you did a clean reinstall of Windows XP in that Dell Inspiron 1300 laptop, you should've identified its devices and then obtained their drivers so you can install the needed ones afterwards.
Right-click MY COMPUTER, then click Properties - Hardware - Device Manager.
It's my guess that one or more entries have a yellow ? next to them.
What's the 7-character "service tag" number on one of the stickers?
