Hello vicfossmo,
Welcome to TSG!
-----------------------------------------------------
I recently moved from an apartment (with Ethernet drops in each room), to a decent sized house (with no Ethernet drops in the bedrooms).
I setup a powerline connection with reputable hardware, and the fastest Internet connection available through my ISP (90Mbps down). Using this powerline connection I was only able to get 20-30 Mbps down -- I was obviously very disappointed.
I have read great things about powerline, but in my experience it just wasn't good enough. I purchased a wireless network adapter for my computer the next day and was able to get 80-90 Mbps down.
-----------------------------------------------------
Needless to say, I recommend trying to get your wireless connection to work.
Whether this be through wireless extender throughout the house or running Ethernet cable through the wall to a wireless router upstairs.
