you should not have avast and norton both running
A couple of things
1) check if a proxy exists
2) remove the Norton security - uninstal using windows control panel and then run the removal tool

Remove any proxy settings
Check your browser's settings, remove or uncheck any proxy settings if found

This will open the Internet Explorer Properties dialogue (Windows) or the Network dialogue (Mac) where you can adjust your network settings

Norton Removal Tool
I would recommend that you restart the PC and run the removal tool for a second time or even a third time - I have found instances where the removal tool needs to be run twice to fully remove all traces of norton and symantec from the PC
