theres only three ways to use your broadband
1) via the wireless
2) via the ethernet connections
3) BT hubs provide a Guest account for all BT uses to get free hotspots all over the country
you should be able to loginto the router and disable the wireless section - see if the download stops
also I think you can disable the guest account not 100% - what version of the BT Hub do you have ?
and then via etherent they would need be in the house
OR your PC is downloading - maybe due to a virus/malware
install http://www.pcworld.com/article/231850/bitmeter_ii.html onto your PC and then you can see what your PC is downloading and uploading
post back the BT HUB version
