can you connect a PC directly to the modem using an ethernet cable and run

and see what speed you get from the modem hardwired
if that is providing 30Mbps - then we can move on the wireless issues - but first need to make sure its Just a wireless issue and not a modem issue
there maybe a status page in the modem configuration pages which shows information about the connection, including the down/upload figures for the modem connection
