I have an old pc which currently has dual-boot windows 7 and Ubuntu. I want to turn this into a server of some type so that I can access my files for my iTunes library remotely and the other files that I have stored on there via a MacBook and iPhone.
What kind of server protocol would I require for iTunes, on my MacBook and iPhone, to locate my media correctly from my server?
Will I need to use a software to set up the server or can it be done through a tunneling protocol?
Is it possible to sync my iPhone remotely?
I've read a bit around the subject but I still don't feel like I can tackle this.
If you guys could help me out I would be very grateful.
