Network card causing PC lag?

Hi all,

I usually use a power-line adapter for my internet access however recently I have been experiencing some rubber banding and lag issues when playing games and therefore my ISP suggested that I switch to using a wireless card as they do not support power-line adapters as they can cause speed issues. I did as suggested and put my wireless card back into my PC, however when doing so, and also when restarting my PC on load up, it seems to cause my PC to lag (a lot), the mouse jitters around the screen, and this doesn't stop until I disconnect from the wireless and then reconnect and all seems to work as normal.

I remember having a similar issue a few years ago, from what I can remember it was something to do with the wireless card conflicting with the Ethernet which I had plugged in at the same time, however this time I have disconnected my Ethernet cable, disabled the Ethernet adapter, and uninstalled the Ethernet driver but it still seems to occur.

If any one could help with this, I'd be extremely grateful as its a massive pain! If you require me to post any logs or tests please let me know and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.
