Ok, please bear with me, I'm not real tech savvy.
Quick rundown -
Main desktop computer is hardwired into the router. (Win 7/64 bit)
1 laptop works off wifi, along with several cell phones.
Wifi works fine.
It's the main desktop that is hardwired (doesn't have wireless capabilities). It will connect and disconnect once a minute. Yes, I said minute. It will connect and when it does, the connection is strong, but then it drops completely and goes through an "identifying" process.
When we called the service provider, they just replaced the router and cable but problem persisted.
I hardwired the router to the laptop and had no problems with the connection so I'm assuming the problem is within the desktop computer itself.
I've seen a few things in forums but none that were the exact problem and I didn't want to do anything that will ruin the computer, obviously, but I'm clueless. Please help... let me know if you need any further specs.
