Configuring Wireless Access Point

Hi,

I'm trying to set up a home network, so far I have a wired network where I have a domain controller running with AD, DNS and DCHP. On this machine (physical) I have 2 ethernet cards. I have a wired connection coming from the main IP Router to this machine, then i have a connection from the 2nd ethernet card going to a 8 port switch which i have a wireless AP connected.

What I am trying to configure is that I can turn the wireless connection off on the main IP router and use the wireless AP as the main wireless connection to the network but i'm not sure on which way round i need to configure the IP's, default gateways, etc...

The IP Router has an ip range of 192.168.1.64 - 192.168.1.253 and the Default Gateway is 192.168.1.254

On the Domain Controller:
I have Ethernet 1 configured as IP: 192.168.1.70 Default Gateway: 192.168.1.254 (Set to share the internet connection)
Ethernet 2 IP: 192.168.1.71 Default Gateway: 192.168.1.70 DNS: 192.168.1.70, 192.168.1.254

DHCP is disabled on the main ip router and the DHCP server on the machine is giving out ip address from 192.168.1.100 - 192.168.1.200

With this setup I am getting errors that the machine can't connect to the internet and any devices connection to the AP cannot see the Network.

I am new to the network infrastructure setup and so any advice would be greatfully appreciated.
