ok...so I read a little further and tried to updated my drivers in network adapters for router and home pc. I think that's what you meant or where you were heading. Ethernet seems to be fine. cable company says router is not the issue and suggested internal problem on pc. sometimes error codes says problem with ip address. seemed to work ok this morning but will have to see if the fix sticks now that drivers have been updated. hopefully! wont be able to see home computer til much later in the day. it has to be something with connectivity on that system because my laptop works fine at work and everywhere else dealing with wi-fi. will post again if situation is resolved or I need more help. ave an "emachine" computer and cable company provided me with "arris" brand router which I can not access settings on...I think. thanks for responding and all your help so far.
