TCP/IP stack repair options for use with Vista and 7 and 8.

Start - All Programs - Accessories and right click on Command Prompt, select "Run as Administrator" to open a command prompt. [For Windows 8: <Windows Logo> + x - Command Prompt(Admin)]

Reset WINSOCK entries to installation defaults: netsh winsock reset catalog

Reset IPv4 TCP/IP stack to installation defaults. netsh int ipv4 reset reset.log

Reset IPv6 TCP/IP stack to installation defaults. netsh int ipv6 reset reset.log

Reboot the machine.

Hey I will give your suggestion a try as for security software that ever was or is on the system. When the computer was first purchased it came with McAfee for 2 years and it was like the full McAfee which had virus, spyware web and firewall protection etc. Which it looks like it's still installed (McAfee Security Scan Plus) but not being used as there 2 years had expired. So maybe I should uninstall that (I use Revo Uninstaller to remove programs). Anyways after the 2 years went I installed AVG so they have AVG 2013 along with Spyware Blaster 5.0, Malwarebytes Anti Malware and Spybot Search and Destroy.Plus whatever windows 7 has built in probably.
