you would need a media service running to do that - there are quite a few available , some as part of USB connection on routers

you could use a PC to stream

set the PC up anywhere , use a media service- there are quite a few, including windows media
i like http://tversity.com/ but there are others

make sure the WD mybook is used for the media files
then make the PC mediaserver is shared
the TV should no see all the information on the WD Mybook via the PC
