Ok here's my story....

Ive had the same internet provider throughout all of this

I bought a belkin n750 wireless n+ router about a year or so ago. It came with a installation disk. I remember when I first hooked it up I had a hard time getting it to connect to the web but it finally did for no apparent reason. Its worked fine ever since up till the last couple days. 3 days ago I started getting lag spikes. everything would be fine then I would get a huge lag spike for about 5 seconds. then it would be fine for 2 minutes then another spike repeat ad nauseam. It made gaming impossible and would cause me to be disconnected from Skype or anything else like that. So I tried just plugging in straight from the modem to the PC and I had zero lag when I did that. So I unplugged the router and hit the reset button. Plugged router back in and it wont connect to the internet anymore. Rebooted everything same problem. Unplugged router 5 more times then for absolutely no apparent reason it connected but I still had the lag spikes and disconnect issues. So I went back to directly connecting the modem to the PC and connection had no lag again. Now I cannot get the router to connect again. Of course I have no clue where the instillation disk is anymore and I cant find anywhere to download the software that came on it. I don't know why after 12 months without a problem my router has started causing lag and now I cannot even get it to connect anymore.

Anyone with advice it would really be appreciated. Thanks
