Okay, so awhile ago I did something I was running a disk cleanup and I think I deleted some sort of cache that I thought was redundant (genius!) and now when I try to go online it just says limited or no connectivity and that the network did not assign me an IP address.
So now I have tried opening Command Prompt and typing the command: netsh winsock reset and restarting my computer as I read elsewhere on another forum that this was so-posed to fix the problem but it seems to be only a temporary fix as my internet reverts back to it's current state when I shutdown or between a time span of 10mins to 1hr!!
I went through all these steps just now: Select Start > Settings > Network Connections.
Double-click the Connection icon of the connection you wish to modify to open the Local Area Connection Status window.
Click the Properties button to open the Local Area Connection Properties window.
Click to highlight Internet Protocol (TCP/IP).
Click the Properties button to open the Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties window.
TCP/IP Properties window, IP Address tab
Select Obtain an IP address automatically.
Select Obtain DNS server address automatically.
Click OK to return to the Local Area Connection Properties window.
Click OK to return to the Network Connections window.
Make sure that all necessary services are started :
Check your Services are Started on all PCs:
COM+ Event System (for WZC issues)
Computer Browser (computer browser will start when needed)
DHCP Client
DNS Client
Network Connections
Network Location Awareness
Remote Procedure Call (RPC)
