No they wont find an excuse to charge, dealt with about 10 cases now with talktalk, where they sent out there engineers or sent out openreach , and they are quite good about that , no one yet has been charged.
it wont be a talktalk engineer , they subcontract out , and the ones I have been on site at the same time as the engineer , only 2 cases have been really good
they will connect another router direct to the master socket and test, they should also have talktalk run certain tests and at least they are dealing back at talktalk with technical people and not just the call handlers reading a script.
only issue is the time it takes, most have been over 10days
