As TN mentioned, since you have the triple play you will be tied to specific modems that also use the VoIP services. I don't know if Comcast will allow you to purchase your own VoIP Modem. Worse case is that you can still use thier modem for phone, but buy your own modem if they allow the two modems on your account.
