Moving a website

i am a computer tech with a wide variety of experience dating back to 1984, not all encompassing, but not bad either. i browse a couple of forums looking for people with problems so that i can share my experience and help out a little bit. i have gotten help from various people on the internet before, and i like to give back. your statement bothered me a little when you said that you didn't even begin to research it first, you just asked here. while i don't mind helping out when people don't necessarily know what to do, in fact i enjoy helping people. what i do mind is doing work for people. i should have just gone on to the next one, but i felt compelled to say something about this post. i understand that some people use these forums as their first stop looking for assistance, but it should not be that way. most of the information i find when i start looking at these posts trying to help is within a few clicks. some problems are harder to find, this is where it is nice to know how things work so you can puzzle them out.
