I have "Bright House Networks Roadrunner 90" internet service.
With a wired connection, my desktops get upload speeds of 10 - 11 Mbps and download speeds of 90 - 100 Mbps.
With a wireless connection, my laptop gets the same upload speeds, but much lower download speeds.
You didn't say if your computer(s) has a 10/100 Mbps or a Gigabit ethernet device and has a 802.11b/g or 802.11n wireless device.
You may need to check the settings in the Device Manager properties for those devices and make some adjustments.
