Assuming other devices can see your wireless and it works - would you confirm
It maybe that the router is set to automatic and allowed to use channels 12&13 - which is not allowed in US and some PCs are built to US spec and cannot see those signals
OR
if the router is dual band and uses the same name for the 2.4/5Ghz signals can cause issues like this
