I am becoming increasingly frustrated trying to get my wi-fi dongle working since I moved back home temporarily.
I have tried 3 separate network adapters, (one PCI, 2 usb) all to no avail.
Whenever I try to connect to a wireless network, it shows that "an unexpected error occured"
The drivers for each of the network cards were all correct, so that shouldn't be the issue.
After browsing and trying different things the last few days, including resetting the TCP/IP stack and winsock resets etc, I just can't get it to connect at all with wireless.
I'm not amazing with computers but i'm not exactly amateur either (to a certain extent)
Can somebody look into this with me and see where I am going wrong please?
For now, I have system restored back to when I updated Java on ethernet (the last time I had a working connection) and the system restore is just finishing now.
I think perhaps it could be the order I am doing things or just something I'm missing. Help would be very much appreciated.
