hp wireless printer offline

Hi
I have two HP lap tops
I have one router which I can print to a wireless printer
Now for some reason the one computer always show that the printer is offline
If I reinstall the printer from add printer from printer and devices drop down I can print off two again
is there a way that I don't have to install printer and driver every so often.

Should I go to the HP web site and down load updates I don't receive any from HP
