Hi All,
I am hoping that you can provide some pointer to this very frustrating problem I am having:
MSI U120 Notebook
Win XP SP3
Problem: Not able to connect to internet. How to reinstall TCP stack?
Details: It seems that the TCP/IP stack is corrupted. My hardware wireless switch is ON. I am able to detect available wireless access point near my place. However, it just does not connect. The IPCONFIG /all reports error:
"An internal error ocured: The request is not supported. Please contact Microsoft Product Support Services for further help. Additional information: Unable to query host name."
I tried all the options like (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/299357)
or - Netsh int ip reset resetlog.txt
or similar scripts suggested by good folks on web.
Can someone help please fix TCP stack on my MSI U120 XP SP3?
Thanks!
