Well, I tried all the recommended actions. I restored to an earlier time, I uninstalled the tune-up service and disabled by anti-virus, but after poking at things for awhile I figured out it was my wireless network software. Once I deleted the profile for my network and switched to just using the Windows 7 Wifi controls, it let me connect without any issues. I don't know why it started acting up, but at least it's fixed!
