So i disabled upnp in my router and the bandwith usage stopped. :D Do i need upnp? Is there a workaround for this?

hello as i was too facing this problem with svchost.exe (BITS) Back Ground Intelligence Transfer Service was using my full 2mbps bandwidth so i was searching a lot to come up with some sort of solution. as i was searching a came across Microsoft web site "http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa363133%28v=vs.85%29.aspx" as it states that BITS will use NIC if UPnP is enabled.. so i recommend u if u r using routers then turn of UPnP if u dont need it then BITS ll never eat uup your bandwidth... |
